Jacksonville Arts in Healing Forum
We have partnered with the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic and Shands Hospital
Arts-in-Healing programs to create the Jacksonville Art in Healing
Forum. The purpose of this Forum is to bring together individuals
and institutions involved with arts and medicine from a variety
of institutions to share ideas, explore networking opportunities
and discover new ways to improve our service to the Northeast Florida
community.
MOCA Jacksonville Photography Project
Educators from the Museum of Contemporary Art - Jacksonville provided
photography education to the children in Dialysis at Wolfson and
in the Nemours Oncology/Hematology unit. The culmination of this
collaboration between Art With A Heart For Children and MOCA Jacksonville
will be a photography exhibit of the children’s work at the
museum in early Spring 2008.
Hospital Experience Wall Murals for Wolfson Children’s
Hospital
The Art Of Healing murals are finished! Come see how our kids shared
their unique hospital experiences related to the arts, faith, and
healing. These magnificent large canvas murals are now on display
on the second floor hallway of flags connecting the Women’s
Pavilion and the Howard Building entrance to the Wolfson Newborn
Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
“Riding the Wave to a Brighter Day” Surfboard
Project
Why hang ten when you can hang 22? Patients at Wolfson completed
22 awesome mini surfboards to accompany the life size surfboard
on permanent display in the Children’s Emergency Department.
Remembrance Weekend for Tom Coughlin Jay Fund
Art With A Heart For Children staff annually participate in the
Jay Fund Remembrance Weekend for families that have lost children
to cancer.
