Programs
Five days a week, our resident artists travel to the patient’s
floors of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Nemours Children’s
Clinic armed with paints, brushes, pastels, and an unlimited supply
of paper. Temporary studios are set-up in children’s rooms
(bedside), the Dialysis Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care, the Behavioral
Health Unit, the teen room, and various playrooms throughout the
hospital and clinic.
Participants in the program are encouraged to donate a special
“masterpiece” which is displayed at Wolfson and Nemours.
The art pieces are rotated on a regular basis, and are also included
in a Traveling Exhibit showcasing a selection of works in different
galleries throughout Jacksonville.
Our monthly Visiting Artist series engages children in a special
creative session exposing them to new and different mediums of art.
